Meetings
All Marlton residents are welcome to attend the general meeting held at the Recreation council building on the first Thursday of each month at 8:30 pm. Coaches clinics posted on the calendar MARLTON RECREATION COUNCILMEETING MINUTESNOVEMBER 1, 2007 Meeting called to order 8:35pm. October General and Executive Board meeting minutes read and approved. Correction made to the October Executive Board meeting minutes, backround checks are good for 3 years not 1. Correction noted and approved. Treasurers report read and approved. SOCCER Season winding down all is well FOOTBALL This is the last week of the season. Two teams will be in the playoffs depending on games this weekend two more teams could also make playoffs. FIELD HOCKEY Season winding down Jr. round robin this weekend. Awards luncheon to be held 11-18. CHEERLEADINGIN-TOWN 5 girls in each weight class will be attending all-stars. The banguet will be held at Luciens. The 105 wieght class will be attending a competition Thanksgiving weekend. COMPETITION First competition this weekend at Pine Hill. Girls have been practicing hard, all is ok. WRESTLING Sign-ups over. There will be a coaches meeting 11-11 with a parent meeting to follow. Season starts 11-26. GIRLS BASKETBALL Dec. 1 In-Town season to begin. Travel team has been picked. BOYS BASKETBALL Sign-ups still open. In-Town season starts Dec. 1. Travel will be holding “midnight madeness” 11-16 from 9pm to 12am at the Blue Barn. STREET HOCKEY NO REPORTVOLLEYBALL NO REPORT SOFTBALL Fall season over all went well. BASEBALL Planning for next year. First board meeting 11-7. ROLLER HOCKEY NO REPORTTRACK NO REPORT GIRLS LACROSSE League will more than likely also be implementing backround checks for coaches within the next year. Looking forward to registrations. BOYS LACROSSE First meeting last week will need twice as many coaches this year. PARKS AND REC. Spring registration information was not received in time to get the information in the township newsletter. Still needs permits and schedules from boys basketball. Township presently undergoing massive re-organization which will be complete by Jan. 1, 2008. SUNSHINE NO REPORT FACILITIES NO REPORTELKS Soccer shoot had a great turnout. District shoot to be held 12-1 with state shoot to follow in January in North Jersey OLD BUSINESS Alcohol and Tobacco policy read. Spring registration dates are Sat. Jan. 6,12,26 Wed. Jan. 9 and Tues. Jan. 15. Online registration will be start Jan. 2, 2008. NEW BUSINESS Trailer that soccer nets are stored in is leaking. Reviewed bond that was approved by Town Council. Commissioners please let your sports know to attend the MRC general meeting December 6 at 8:30. The meeting will take place at Evans school at 8:30pm and a short presentation will be given on field improvements by the township manager. Please be advised Dean Barr, Jeff Barnett and Kevin Rodgers will be given credit for tonights meeting.
