The co-ed teen vollyball program provides a safe, enjoyable atmosphere for both novice and experienced volletball players to either learn this exciting, life-long sport or to enhance their skills.

All teens aged 12 through 18 are permitted to join the league as long as they are middle or high school students. No prior experience with the sport is necessary.

Coaches provide the instruction necessary to properly learn and play the sport of "power volleyball" and league matches will enforce all age appropriate rules as prepared by the various national governing bodies of the sport. Currently, the rules are modified from the USA Volleyball Association- 2005.

Volleyball is an excellent co-ed sport in that it is non-contact and its number of hits and required player rotation promotes the ultimate in team play. Co-ed volleyball rules (as modified by MRC) requires that the team of six (6) players have a minimum of two (2) females players on the court at all times in an alternating male/female arrangement. Three (3) players of each sex is ideal. Each team is required to have one team hit by an opposite sex player during each volley that uses all three (3) team hits.

League play is one (1) night per week and a match consists of three (3) games-- all played regardless of wins or losses. All teams qualify for the play-off round and a league champion crowned at the end of each season.
