This year's draft was held on Saturday November 25, 2006. Eight (8) teams were created using the following draft rules.

All players are rated on a scale of one (1) to four (4) with four (4) being the highest rating. All coaches participate in the ratings and a consensus is reached on each player.

Lots are drawn by all coaches present to determine the team order of draft (#1, #2, etc.). A female player is chosen by each team in succession from the highest ranking players available until all teams have selected a female player.

Once the last team has picked a female player, the team order is reversed and female players are chosen by each team in succession from the highest ranking players available until all female players have been selected. The male players are then drafted using the same sequence. The first team to draft a male player is the next team in order following the selection of the last female player.

Coach's children are selected by the parent coach when the sex and rating matches their child(ren) in the due course of the draft. However, the parent must select their child(ren) before a player with the same sex and rating. The parent may not select a player with a lower rating than their own child(ren) until after their child(ren) has (have) been selected and placed on the parent's team.

Selection continues as above until all players have been placed onto a team.

Should additional players become available during the course of the season they will be drafted onto teams as above. The new player will go to the team that would have drafted next had the player been available at the time of the initial draft. In the case of this year’s draft the next team in order to select a player will be Team #3, followed by Team #2, etc. To assure a fair and balanced league, any teams that receive official notification that a player is leaving the league may move ahead in the subsequent draft and acquire a new player with the consent of the Commissioner. The Commissioner will assure that new players are not 'recruited' by teams during the season in an attempt to create a stronger team and an unbalanced league.
