Chiefs Tournament / Travel Information
Players registered are invited to Tournament Hockey Tryouts in December. Players should attend at least one tryout. Tournament players cannot be rostered to multiple tournament teams or multiple towns for tournament season. Hockey players who play other spring sports are asked to give EQUAL preference to hockey. Tryout signup/registration will be sent to all participants at a later date.

The tournament tryout dates are listed above and on the master schedule. Players are expected to attend all tryouts and should attend at least one night. If you register, expressing consideration and can not attend a tryout event, it is your responsibility to reach out to the Tournament Director to make them aware of your absence. Players will be evaluated in both the try out setting and during recreation league games. Registering, attending a try-out or not communicating with the Tournament Director does not guarantee a position on a team.
2025 cost is TBD, based on team and # of tournaments
Cost is typically around $225 - $250 per player. This includes uniforms and the 4-5 local tournaments as well as an away tournaments. Any personal expenses relating to traveling would be extra.
TOURNAMENT SEASON
Penguin, Beaver, Cadet and Freshman
Tournament Hockey is for the players who are looking for advanced competition. Many of our players are able to participate in their other spring sports.
Chiefs typically compete in 5 to 6 tournaments against teams from the South Jersey Area, PA, NY and MA. We do travel to away Tournaments .
Some teams may play in additional Tournaments.
Each year we host the Annual Rumbos at the Rinks Tournament as part of the Rivals Championship Series.
Volunteering at our Tournament is required when accepting a roster offer.
Travel Tournament hockey players are expected to register for and play Marlton Recreation Winter Hockey. Exceptions to this requirement, while rare, may be made upon consideration and approval from the Hockey Board.
