Players, coaches and parents: join us for this exciting baseball community event! Speaker lineup includes:

  • Steve Springer, former MLB player and big league scout/mental coach, will talk to players on  "How to Compete with Confidence" and dive into the mental game of baseball and softball – the Quality at Bats Way.  Steve Springer hands you the strategies, tactics, and major league coaching you need to build a rock-solid confidence in sport!
     
  • Rob Valli, head baseball coach for Rowan College,  will speak to players about "Junior College/Maximize Your Options." Coach Rob Valli is the head baseball coach at Rowan College which is a perennial favorite to win the NJCAA College World Series. Rowan College is a junior college in the South Jersey region and provides the opportunity for the student athlete to a player to finish his prerequisites, so that he may decide on a major. Prerequisites are meant to give young students a chance to explore many different academic areas, so they will know what they want to concentrate on in their studies as they advance towards a degree.

About Steve Springer

Steve Springer is the former performance coach & major league scout for the Toronto Blue Jays.

After not starting in high-school his SR year, getting cut in college, Springer was drafted by the Mets after a break out sophmore season.

After years in the minor leagues, Steve eventually collected his first major league hit with the New York Mets.

Steve played over 14 years as a professional baseball player and compiled over 1,600 professional hits.

Over 35 years in professional baseball as a baseball player, agent and scout.

He now travels and speaks across the country about the mental side of hitting while working and training with major league all-stars.

He resides in Huntington Beach CA, and is the author of Quality At-Bats and the founder of Quality At-Bats Academy.

About Rob Valli

Rob Valli has amassed 30 years of experience educating students and coaching baseball. He has instructed New Jersey public school students in every grade from kindergarten through college and worked at every level of baseball from youth to Major League Baseball.

Coach Valli is entering his 21st season of collegiate baseball with 17 years of experience as head coach; 6 at NCAA Division 1 Temple University and 11 at NJCAA Rowan College at Gloucester County. That span includes an impressive 555 wins, averaging 35 wins per season, 9 of 10 trips to the NJCAA World Series, and 1 NJCAA National Championship.

Regarded among the finest player development experts in college baseball; 26 of his players have been named All American, 68 advanced to professional baseball, including 7 major leaguers. Currently, the vast majority of his junior college players are receiving high value baseball scholarships at prominent universities. In 2019; 7 of them began professional baseball careers.

As a Major League Baseball Scout for 9 years; Valli served five with the Colorado Rockies and four with the Miami Marlins. Working primarily in the Northeast; his role was to identify and evaluate top high school and college prospects being considered for the amateur draft. Additional responsibilities included; evaluating minor league players in opposing organizations and administering personality evaluations to top prospects.

In his role as educator; Professor Valli has always been a popular mentor to students. He has been awarded the distinction of tenure at each academic post; South Brunswick Public Schools, Cherry Hill Public Schools, and Rowan College at Gloucester County.
