Calling all contenders! MLB® and Chevrolet are scouting to find this year’s Chevrolet Play Ball™ Reporter. The deadline to submit a video is March 15.
Over the years, the Chevy Play Ball Reporter has voiced-over game highlights on the MLB Network, reported live from the field, and even traveled to big league events. Watch this video to check out all the fun the 2019 Chevrolet Play Ball Reporter – Ethan Morgan – had previously.
If selected, you too will interview some of the best in the game of Baseball, including players, coaches, announcers, and mascots, either in person at various ballparks, or virtually from your own home.
Additionally, you may attend the 2021 MLB® All-Star Game® and 2021 World Series® for onsite reporting. Get all the details.

To help with the search (and keep an even playing field), show us what you can do on camera …
YOUR ASSIGNMENT: Perform a mock one-on-one interview, no longer than 2 minutes in length, with your favorite current MLB player on camera. You must ask the person you’re interviewing at least three questions (but no more than five), which he or she can respond to. We discourage the use of cue cards or notes that make it appear you are reading from a script.
You will be judged on the following criteria:
Since the actual MLB player will not be part of the interview, feel free to improvise answers as you see fit, or have a friend or family member pretend they are the player you are interviewing. Remember that Chevrolet is looking for creativity and for your passion for baseball to shine through.
Please limit all video submissions to a maximum of 2 minutes and submit videos at our upload site by clicking here. Preferred file types for submissions include: .MOV, .MP4 and QuickTime. Please see page 2 for candidate criteria and tips when submitting your video.
For any questions or comments, please reach out to Josh Renel, josh_renel@jackmorton.com. Best of luck, Play Ball Reporter contenders. We can’t wait to see your submissions!
