'In-Town' Recreation Teams Gallery

Welcome to the Marlton Soccer Recreational (In-Town) Program

Each age group / league builds on the previous one. In addition, for each league, there is a boys league and a girls league (unless otherwise noted). The official start date of the fall season is the first Saturday after Labor Day weekend. (For fall 2023, the season will begin on September 9th.) Coaches are expected to contact their teams during the month of August. Uniforms will be provided prior to opening day.

Program	Grades	Description

U-6	PreK-K	The age groups (4 versus 5) are separated. Pug style goals are used. Games are against other teams on a 3v3 (3 versus 3) configuration without goalies. All games and practices are held on Saturdays beginning with opening day. The practices are run prior to actual games against other teams. While the coaches will contact the teams prior to opening day, practices will not commence until opening day. Participation trophies will be given to everyone. L
U-8	1-2	The fields continue to increase in size with a possibility of combining the age groups into one U8 league. Games are 7v7 which includes a goalie. A combination of coaches and / or referees will be used for the games. Basic rules of off-sides, goal and corner kicks, and offsides will be managed. Goals used are 6.5' by 18'. Participation trophies are given to everyone. Practices are held separate of games under the three activities per week rule (i.e. two practices and one game per week, one practice and two games per week). Coaches may conduct practices prior to opening day in the month of August.
U-10	3-4	The age groups begin to be mixed with one another and a draft system may be used to select teams if there is enough participation. Otherwise, teams will be selected randomly by the league coordinator. The field continues to increase in size and the goals used are the 7'x21' size. Games are 7v7 with goalies. A full referee system is utilized. L
U-12	5-6	Mixed ages. Draft system used. Public standings are generated. Double-round playoff system. Fields are even bigger. Games are 9v9 with goalies.
U-14	7-8	Mixed ages. Draft system used. Public standings are generated. Double-round playoff system. Fields are even bigger. Games are 11v11.
U-18	9-12	This age group includes teams established from other towns. We are the lead town that establishes the overall schedules.
SPRING SOCCER
Co-Ed U-8	1-2	This fun, less stress, no-standings league plays games under the U8 set of rules.
Co-Ed U10	3-4	This fun, less stress, no-standings league plays games under the U10 set of rules.
Co-Ed U12	5-6	This fun, less stress, no-standings league plays games under the U12 set of rules.
Co-Ed U-14	7-8	This new division began in 2010 to offer a co-ed, middle school-aged program. This fun, less stress, no-standings league plays games under the U14 set of rules. The season ends with an incredible 3v3 tournament to benefit the Cherokee STAR (Students Together for Autism Research) organization.
U-18	9-12	This age group includes teams stablished from other towns in a multi-township league. We are the lead town that establishes the overall schedules.
